E3 2012 Drinking Game
Get ready, gamers! It’s that magical time of the year when dreams can be made and hopes can be destroyed. E3 is upon us and the world is watching in excitement to see what the future holds for video games. While a lucky bunch will actually be able to attend the expo, most of us will be sitting at home, taking in the action from behind a screen. What better way to celebrate announcements (or grieve) than with a few buddies and drinks? The Drunken Moogle has created a drinking game for those of you looking to pregame a bit before those big E3 parties. Grab some buddies and drinks and get ready for a fun week! For the press conference times and links to livestreams, check out the schedule that Video Game Nostalgia posted.Microsoft

Drink responsibly and have a fantastic E3 week, everyone!
I’m not much of a drinker, but I felt the need to share this!
Don’t forget, you can join us in the E3 COMEDY ZONE right now! E3 starts in an hour and a half!
LET’S PLAY E3 BINGO !!
For the past few years during each E3, my friends and I have been making bingo boards with predictions of each press conference occupying the squares. We figure it’s a good way to liven up the conferences.
This year, I figured it’d be fun to share it with y’all! While watching an E3 press conference, and you see one of the predicted events play out, cross off that square. Nothing to it.
Here’s the scheduled conferences:
All times are in Pacific Standard. (http://everytimezone.com/)
Monday, June 4
Microsoft - 9:30 AM
Electronic Arts - 1:00 PM
Ubisoft - 3:00 PM
Sony - 6:00 PM
Tuesday, June 5
Nintendo - 9:00 AM
(Special Rules- The general board takes place throughout the entire event, so if you see something during any conference or footage directly from the convention, be sure to cross it off. Ubisoft and EA share one board. EA squares have an orange background and Ubisoft squares have a purple one.)
awe u wedy
Perfect! E3 is one of my favourite things every year, I think this time around I’ll be setting up a tinychat room or something so we can all bitch and moan and laugh together :)
I converted the times to British Summer Time btw, so here we have:
MONDAY
5:30PM - Microsoft
9:00PM - EA
11:00PM - UbiSoft
2:00AM - Sony
TUESDAY
5:00PM - Nintendo
Looks like next monday I’ll be staying up pretty late… Fortunately, it’s also the Queen’s birthday so we have BANK HOLIDAYS OUT THE ASS.
This, PS 3DMonitor and the PSVita were the most interesting things about E3 this year.
I say interesting because nothing this year was actually exciting.
Nintendo’s little Zelda orchestra was very nice though!
XBOX were like “Well… here’s Halo in HD, AND Halo4… and uh, that’s it.”
Now a time of broken promises, torture, and..you guessed it: shooters *eye roll*…all the good stuff that gets announced at E3 now comes out 2 years later, regardless, the gaming industry is so stale and predictable these days..I only have two things on the E3 wishlist this year..
- That the NGP matches the 3DS in price so it won’t be a (complete?) fiasco..love the PSP’s diverse gaming library, I’d like to see that taken to the next level on NGP hopefully.
- That Nintendo’s next console (Project Cafe) proves that it will have healthy third party support and a focus on the hardcore gamer..if Nintendo has full third party support on the next system there’d be little reason for me to buy more than one console. They’d have the Nintendo exclusives and the games that every other system has. (Because let’s be honest, between Sony and Microsoft, there are VERY few “exclusives” with them anymore.)
I predict that none of these SIMPLE things will happen. Or happen in the way they should at least. Mainly just to avoid dissapointment..but based on the past…none of these gaming corporations seem to “get it” completely (I’m mainly looking at you Nintendo) so I’m actually being more realistic than pessimistic. We’ll see though.
I’ll be watching all the big presentations but I’m not holding my breath, gaming is really disappointing in recent years. Only thing that looks interesting is Kojima Productions HD releases, and Kojima himself isnt even going to E3 this year.
